Tree of life – Photography and Painting by Ekatherina S.

The Museum of Russian Art (MoRA) Presents:

“Tree of life” photography and painting exhibition of works by Ekatherina S. (Savtchenko), who had solo exhibitions in the State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg, Russia, Imperial City Art Museum, Beijing, China, Lalit Kala Akademy, New Dehli, India, Niavaran Museum, Tehran, Iran Museum of Contemporary Art, Washington D.C., and the United Naitons, New York .

Ekatherina’s paintings conjure up a futuristic landscape as much as they do an ancient one, and this may be the artist`s objective. She has chosen a very tantalizing and seductive way for viewers to see, not so much as a geographical place but as a richly layered and nourishing state of mind.

– Valery Gladstone “Art News Magazine”

.

Force is what Savtchenko’s paintings are about, and it is implicitly cosmic force.

– Donald Kuspit Professor of Art History and Philosophy at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and the A.D. White Professor at Large at Cornell University.
