Wraith – Darren Jones
Darren Jones: Wraith
The Museum of Russian Art is pleased to present, Darren Jones: Wraith. This solo exhibition presents recent work from one of Scotland’s most prolific and accomplished contemporary artists.
Wraith is a Scottish dialectical word meaning “ghost or spirit”. Jones’ work often subtly expresses his responses to human experience through an ephemeral and restrained material approach. Darren Jones: Wraith continues this direction, while also acknowledging that the artist’s practice is quietly influenced by his formative years, spent among the captivating mythology, supernatural history and spellbinding folklore of Scotland.
Join us for an opening reception for the artist: 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, February 18th, 2012.
Exhibition dates: February 18th – 29th, 2012
